Triage IT Back to the site

Privacy policy

Last updated July 21, 2026

This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit this website or ask us for a walkthrough. It is written by Good IT Ltd. ("we", "us"), the company behind Triage IT.

This policy covers this website only. If you become a client, the handling of your service desk data is covered by your service agreement and the section below on client data.

What we collect when you visit

Nothing you type, because there is nothing to type. The site has no forms, no sign-up, and no tracking pixels.

Two things do happen in your own browser:

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share anything for advertising.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. The theme preference described above uses local storage, which is a similar technology but is only read by this site and is never sent to a server. Because nothing here is used for tracking or advertising, no cookie banner is required.

If this changes

Adding analytics, a chat widget, an embedded video, or a booking form will change this. Any of those need this section updated, and most need consent before they load.

When you contact us

If you email us or book a walkthrough, we collect what you send: usually your name, email address, company, and whatever you tell us about your service desk. We use it to reply, to run the walkthrough, and to follow up about working together. We do not use it for anything else and we do not pass it to anyone outside the suppliers listed below.

We keep enquiry correspondence for two years and then delete it. Ask us sooner and we will delete it sooner.

Client data

Triage IT works inside a client's own systems. When we run it for you, we handle the tickets, contact details, and device information already in your ticketing system and your RMM. In that arrangement:

Ticket text is processed by Google Gemini, under terms that do not permit training on it. A client can ask for a different AI provider to be configured for their tickets; we require the same bar on training before we agree to one.

Who else sees your information

We use these suppliers, and only for the purposes described:

Some of these store data outside Canada, including in the United States. That means it may be accessible to foreign authorities under the laws that apply there. We choose suppliers who commit to appropriate protection, and your service agreement records the specifics.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law, and equivalent rules elsewhere, you can ask us to:

Email matt@goodit.ca and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca, or to the regulator in your own country.

Security

We protect information with access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfect. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting clients will also be sent to you directly.
